Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Treatments

Discover new carpal tunnel syndrome treatments for your pain and numbness. Get carpal tunnel syndrome relief with these methods from alternative medicine.

Some time ago, I got carpal tunnel syndrome. It was really bad. I had severe pain throughout my right arm and numbness in some of the fingers of my right hand.

For some time, the only thing that brought relief was the alternative treatment of deep tissue massage--so deep I came away from each session with bruises--but it was the only thing that helped. This went on--the massage, once or twice a week--for over a year.

Fast forward. Since I am into alternative health, I had in my frig a quart of a product a friend had sold to me before I had carpal tunnel symptoms. It was a network-marketed health product, a juice. They market it as a panacea--a way to get relief for lots of things, and it could be used as a carpal tunnel syndrome treatment, among other things. At the time I tried it, there was nothing wrong with me, and I didn't notice any changes, but the stuff was expensive (About $30 a bottle with shipping), so I stuck it in my frig.

Always check with your doctor before trying anything you read here. Everyone is different, and what might be good for some people might be bad for you, considering your medical history and medications.

Could this be a carpal tunnel syndrome treatment, I wondered? I started taking it--two to three tablespoons a day.

This is hard to believe, but within four to six weeks, my carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms were mostly gone. I was astonished.

Now this is not a carpal tunnel syndrome cure, because if I stop taking it, the symptoms come back. It's a carpal tunnel syndrome treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome relief.

About a year ago, I saw the juice, in a pint bottle, under a different brand, in the health food section of my local supermarket, and it cost just $13.98! It was straight juice, unlike the network marketing product, which was mixed with other fruit juice to make it palatable. The stuff smells and tastes awful, so I mix it 2/3 product to one third grape juice. I am still taking two to three tablespoons a day.

The product is noni juice. The brand I use is Tree of Life, and it works for me. If you can't find it locally, you can get it on the Internet. It may be important to take the real juice, rather than something reconstituted from powder or concentrate; I don't know. The network marketing people said that was important and that it was also important to make sure it was Tahitian noni juice.

It took four to six weeks for this carpal tunnel syndrome treatment to work. Well, I'm not sure it took that long, but that's when I noticed it. I was actually taking the Noni juice for another problem, vertigo, and for that problem I got relief within 48 hours. I wasn't really focusing on the carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms, but around a month later, I said "Whoa! My carpal tunnel is mostly gone!" It seemed like a miracle to me.

So that's one possibility for carpal tunnel symptom treatment.

I still had some minor symptoms, a little bit of occasional numbness in my fingers. I was using prolotherapy to fix a lot of things, so I asked the MD who was treating me if we could use that for carpal tunnel syndrome treatment. "Absolutely!" he said. He gave me a little injection in my wrist, one time, and that carpal tunnel syndrome treatment fixed the remaining symptoms pretty much completely.

Be sure to get a referral for prolotherapy for carpal tunnel syndrome treatment. Ask your doctor. It's a low risk procedure, but it does require specialized training. My doctor, Merle Janes, MD, is a pain and rehabilitation specialist who practices in Spokane Valley and in Seattle, Washington. You can probably get a referral to someone in your area from the American College for Advancement in Medicine, 23121 Verdugo Drive, Suite 204, Laguna Hills, CA, 92653. (800) 532-3688.

It's amazing to me that I could go from so much pain and numbness to being pretty much 100% fixed. I don't know if these things will work for you, but they sure worked for me.
