The baking soda cancer treatment keeps cancer from invading other parts of the body. Can it cure? See M.D. opinions, research and scientific studies below.
If you are knowledgeable about alternative health, you also know that alkalizing your blood can have a number of benefits. Just do a search on "alkalize your body."
In the 1940s, Max Gerson, MD, was curing cancer with an alkalizing diet, achieving a cure rate of 30-35%, far above the cure rates of today. Because our soils are so empty of minerals, however, using food and diet won't work by themselves today.
So if our food won't do it, how will we alkalize to attack cancer? Dr. Tullio Simoncini, says Robert Rowen, M.D. is an Italian physician who was the first to discover the baking soda cancer treatment.
In his March 2008 and his November 2013 newsletter, Second Opinion, Robert Rowen, M.D. talks about using sodium bicarbonate for cancer. Sodium bicarbonate is also known as baking soda, although medical applications use a purer form than we have in our kitchens.

Baking soda is alkaline, so it helps reduce an unhealthy acid state. Looking at Gerson's successes that can't be replicated today, Dr. John Apsley, executive director of the Immunogenic Research Foundation, Inc., said a light went on in his brain when learning of Dr. Simoncini's successes with sodium bicarbonate. He said that "The bicarbonate literally sucks out the acid hydrogen ions... from the deepest regions of cells. This allows nutritional minerals to replace the semi-toxic acid, recharging your cellular defenses.
Dr. Simoncini discovered research showing that all solid cancers have something in common. They are all held together by a fungus. This fungus produces an acid-based glue that holds it and the cancer cells together.
The fungus is Candida, found in many yeast infections. Dr. Simoncini discovered that Candida plays a vital role in cancer's ability to survive. Here's why: Normal cells are automatically self-destruct after a period of time, or if they are damaged. That process, called apoptosis is the main way your body fights off cancer.
The Candida fungus makes toxins that impair apoptosis. If your cell doesn't self-destruct when it's supposed to, it can degenerate into endless division and become cancerous. In his research on baking soda and cancer, Dr. Simoncini found that Candida intertwines with tumors, protecting it. Destroying the tumor requires killing the fungus. Antifungal drugs don't work, but the baking soda cancer treatment does.
Dr. Simoncini uses baking soda for cancer with intravenous sodium bicarbonate. Some doctors add postassium to their IV solution. Sometimes Dr. Simoncini injects it directly into easily accessible cancers, such as breast cancer. Or, with a cooperating invasive radiologist, he may have a catheter inserted directly into the artery feeding the cancer, so he can pump in the bicarbonate directly. There are more details about exact amounts over exact time periods in this article that I won't give here. You and your doctor can easily do the necessary research, or your doctor may want to do it differently.
What's important is that sodium bicarbonate is alkaline. It neutralizes the acid glue that holds the Candida fungus together. The fungus then falls apart, and without the fungus to hold it together, the cancer self-destructs.
Dr. Simoncini admits there is a weakness. You need a good blood supply to bring ample bicarbonate to the tumor. The sodium bicarbonate treatment is effective with soft tissue primary cancers and metastases, which usually have enough blood supply. However, metastases to bone may not have that blood supply.
Dr. Simoncini's colleagues have modified his baking soda cancer treatment protocol to include alternating bicarbonate with high-dose intravenous vitamin C, alternating weeks. The overwhelming majority of primary and non-osseous (non-bone) metastatic cancers disappear within days to weeks.
When it comes to breast cancer, your doctor can flood local tumors with bicarbonate. Local injection can be very painful, but wouldn't you rather take some pain and spare your breast from getting chopped off? Again, there are details re dosages in the article that I don't feel free to give here. That's up to your doctor.
In his November 2013 newsletter, Dr. Rowen adds more info: Researchers at Moffitt Cancer Center and Wayne State University studied the acidity of solid tumors, trying to discover if pH levels are related to their invasiveness. They found that the parts of the tumor with the greatest acidity (lowest pH) were the most invasive.
In addition, they found evidence to support Dr. Simoncini's work. They said, "...when we neutralized the acidity with oral sodium bicarbonate, the invasion was halted." They also said that treatments designed to increase alkalinity will "likely provide a valuable alternative to traditional therapies focused entirely on killing tumor cells
Note that the researchers used the simple treatment of oral sodium bicarbonate, not injections or intravenous therapy. Dr. Rowen says he knows of at least one case of advanced cancer that cleared on oral sodium bicarbonate and many that did not. He also says that anyone with cancer should be very careful about their diet, choosing healthy foods that support the body's healthy alkalinity.

Here is a very technical article on a study using oral (not intravenous) sodium bicarbonate, chemical formula HaHCO3, on cancer-induced mice. The title of the article is: "Bicarbonate Increases Tumor pH and Inhibits Spontaneous Metastases."
Interpretation of this massive dose of medical jargon: The baking soda cancer treatment did not affect tumor growth, but it did decrease metastases to other areas of the body. Here's a quote from the study: "Despite a lack of an effect on primary tumor growth, bicarbonate therapy led to significant reductions in the number and size of metastases to lung, intestine, and diaphragm."
The U.S. National Institutes of Health are funding a study on using sodium bicarbonate as a breast cancer treatment. Here is the press release from the University of Arizona Cancer Center: "Marty Pagel, PhD, awarded $2 million NIH grant to study impact of baking soda on breast cancer."
This article, "Clinical Trials now planned on Sodium Bicarbonate as a cancer treatment," is worth reading, especially the part that says a study "...showed that drinking sodium bicarbonate caused new metastases to stop, whilst injection of Bicarbonate into tumours caused regression of the cancer."

A number of studies have linked prayer to healing, and although the results have been inconclusive, what could it hurt to talk to the omnipotent creator of the universe? A prayer for healing might go something like this:
"Dear Lord, please hear me now as I pray for your help with (name your problem). I pray you’ll cleanse my body and heal me completely. In Jesus’ name I pray; Amen."
